Reset quiz

Hello I have a course that is made up of 3 sections.  We assess learners through out the course at the end of each complete section with a results page at the very end of the course letting them know whether they are successful or not.  How do I use the reset button to allow them to redo the assessment if they fail without having to go through the whole course again.  The review button works fine but the reset button takes them to the first question but then continues to go through the remainder of the course again which is not what I wanted it to do.  Any advice please?
