Revisiting a slide error

Hi!  I have a slide that uses markers to display parts of a machine.  The markers will show a layer with a callout and I have it set to hide the layer when the user "clicks outside of...".  It works perfectly when the learner first visits the slide.  However, when the learner returns to the slide by using either the PREV or sidebar menu, the layers do not hide and the callouts stack on top of the other callouts on the main slide (see attached image).  

I have the slide set to Return to Initial State and this is still happening.  I do not have any triggers on the slide pertaining to the timeline or any variable triggers either.  The only triggers are Show Layer and Hide Layer.  How can I correct this??
