Rise - Can you copy a block between lessons?
I made several lessons in Rise, and each lesson has multiple blocks. Is it possible to copy a block from one lesson to another? I found I can duplicate blocks within a lesson, and I can duplicate entire lessons. I'm trying to copy one bock of a lesson into another existing lesson. Thanks.
Great question! We're looking at early in 2018 for the ability to combine components from one lesson into another one. It's a feature still in development, so once we have more information on timing and specifics of functionality we'll let you know!

Hi there- is there an ETA on the feature allowing for content to be re-organized/moved from one block/lesson to another block/lesson inside the same course?

I would love to have this feature too! Any ETA on when it will be done?

You can currently do that inside of Rise now by dragging and dropping the content section when inside of the main course list. You can also duplicate the block section using the three-dot menu to the right of it and then drag and drop the duplicate to wherever you want it to go. That same three-dot contextual menu (Copy to another course) allows you to copy a section over to a completely separate course if you need to.
Hi everyone! We just released a Rise update full of new features and some important fixes, too.
The feature you requested, copying lessons to another course, is live! Check out this tutorial - itโs super easy.
Feel free to let us know what you think!

I appreciate that the team is working on this feature. I for one can't underscore enough how helpful it would be to have it and what a pain it is not to.
Hi Kim,
Thanks for chiming in here! We're looking at a feature that would allow you to copy lessons/blocks from one course to another, but I don't have an ETA for when that'll be available.
We'll keep you posted here and you can also see what features and fixes have been released up to this point by reading the Rise Version history.

Hello,
I'd like to know how to copy a block from one lesson to another lesson inside the same module. Can Rise do that?
Hi Missy,
When you click the little dots next to a lesson you'll have two options:
Duplicate will allow you to create a duplicate or a copy within the same course.
Copy to another course will allow you to reuse that lesson inside a new or existing course.
If you're looking to copy individual blocks within a course to another section of the course, look at using the block templates.
Let me know if you need anything else!

I agree, this feature would be very helpful. "copy to" would be good command. Especially when you are looking at an interactive block- it can be very time consuming to set up from scratch. Also certain blocks ie introductions, more information, are used in many different courses.

It would be really good if blocks could be copied between different Rise courses as well as from lesson to lesson.
I hear you--we're excited about this feature, too! No specific timeframe yet, but our team is working on a solution. It'll be available to you immediately after it launches!
We're adding new things to Rise all the time, so stay tuned. ๐
