Rise compresses image files when uploaded. This may be causing your grainy images.
You can prevent automatic file compression by adding specific to the image file name. This tells Rise 360 not to compress the image file.
A file named dog.png would become dog_NOPROCESS_.png.
In my experience Rise prefers images in a 16:9 ratio.
