Rise 360 - Note Taking Feature?

I was recently building a bit of a technical course using Rise 360 and one of my observations was that it would be great if there was a note-block, or perhaps overlay on Rise 360 c...
In addition to the approach and demo I outlined above, we recently completed a project for a client where, instead of using local browser storage to store the learner's notes during the course, we stored them in the learner's comments data array in a SCORM 2004 compliant LMS. This overcame the problem of resuming the course on a different device or using a different device.
The JavaScript is not trivial but it works well.
