Rise feature request: multiple block selection
Hi all,
I'd love to see a new feature in Rise: the ability to select multiple blocks at once and then move or copy them as a group. Right now, adjusting the layout of a longer lesson can be quite time-consuming, since you have to move each block one at a time.
The idea is simple:
- You select several blocks (for example: a text block, an image block, and a video block)
- Then you can move them up or down together, or copy and paste them as a group
- This would make editing and reorganizing lessons much faster and easier
Let me know if others are also missing this feature or if maybe there’s already a smart workaround I’ve missed! Please upvote if you need this feature as well!
Thanks,
Thom
Hello everyone!
I'm happy to share that we have a new Manage Blocks experience in Rise 360! You can now drag and drop blocks within a lesson or copy them to another lesson. We'd love to have you share feedback via the embedded survey.

It would be great to be able to select multiple blocks and move them as a group.
Here's a workaround: You can put multiple blocks into a Block Template. Insert that Block Template in the new location (which could be in the same lesson, another lesson, or even in another course).
After you've verified that the content is in the correct location, go back and delete the blocks from the original location.

Thanks for your reply Judy. Will look into that but don't think i could match the ease of use of a selection functionality.

Yes, this is a great feature to include! User can select multiple blocks to move, delete, or copy.

Currently working on four modules that I have needed to move blocks between, a feature where you can select either single or multiple blocks and move them to a new course or lesson with the existing course would be the actual BEST! :)

I find it peculiar that Articulate still haven't implemented this functionality:
