Rise 360, Accesibility
Hi!
I read the e-book "6 Best Practices for designing accessible e-learning". I understood that I should avoid anything that involves clicking, so the e-course could be totally done by just using the keyboard.
Does anyone know if the flipping cards, tabs and accordions are compatible with screen readers? Should I use them or avoid them?
Kind regards,
Elena
Hello Elena,
You don't want to avoid clicking since that's the primary way people interact with online content. But best practice is to make things keyboard accessible for those who need alternative means of accessing the content.
These two articles provide up-to-date info regarding Rise

Those interactions you mentioned are keyboard accessible. You can use tabs (and/or arrows) to navigate through them.
Rise will work the same. For the end-user there may be an additional step depending on how the LMS delivers the course. Sometimes the LMS wraps the course in a player.

Thank you, very much! A follow up question regarding the keyboard accesible navigation of Rise 360: If I send my client the LMS for them to upload in their own e-learning management system, would those shortcuts remain in their LMS or would they change?
Thanks!
