Rise 360 and LMS communication
Hey team,
i'll try to be as precise as I can in explaining what I'm hoping to accomplish.
For starters, functionality-wise, I think that Rise 360 does everything I am hoping to accomplish in terms of setting up lessons and adding interactions. The issue I'm seeing is that there's only one 'completion' message that's getting generated after a course is completed. (Makes sense based on the tracking options in the LMS publish settings). What I am hoping to be able to capture is:
- Completion status of every page/block in the lesson
- Completion of knowledge checks and data around those (how many incorrect answers, how many times it took them to get the correct answer etc)
Basically, if our LMS will only recognize the full completion of a course, then is a user times out , or needs to come back to a course, the user will have to start from scratch.
Is it possible to configure communication from every block in a course in Rise360? Do I need to go to Storyline to get this sort of communication level? It would be a shame, as mentioned, that Rise does appear to be able to accomplish 95% of what I need out of the gate, just trying to figure this part out.
Thanks in advance - Newbie

Hi ezeringue I just wanted to clarify this first "Basically, if our LMS will only recognize the full completion of a course, then is a user times out , or needs to come back to a course, the user will have to start from scratch."
That should definitely not be the case. If your LMS is SCORM compliant, 1.2 or 2004, the course should storing data in suspend_data which should persist the state of the course. Users should be able to exit when they want, and then pick-up where they left off.
In regards to tracking individual interactions, as far as I am aware, you can only do this for quiz questions. The content leverages SCORM interactions to track data such as users response, correctness, time taken etc.
In terms of topics completion, block completion, this stuff should be tracked already, but is not available for reporting purposes. It is tracked purely for persisting the users state in the course.
