Rise 360 Course did not save

Hi there,

I chose an existing lesson to create my course with. I deleted all the content from the lesson and replaced it with my info. After a couple weeks, I checked back and noticed that my changes/updates were not saved and that the original lesson was still there. Any reason to this? I had assumed that Rise 360 saves our progress as we go, is it because I did not create a duplicate, and instead worked directly on the original lesson?

  • Hi Human Resources!

Sorry to hear updates to your Rise course aren't saving properly!

Rise should be saving your changes automatically, can you confirm you are using a supported browser? Also, are there any collaborators on this course?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The problem might've been that you had swear words included in your module. My team and I spent three full days on trying to figure out why is our module not saving progress and gets all clunky. As it was a De-escalation module for Customs officers it included swear words as examples. The module won't accept swear word or e.g., F [three stars] ing but will accept F******.

This is a bad usability heuristic because users won't get any feedback or notification from the module which can result in wasting a lot of work, time and energy on this issue.
