Rise 360 SCROM output getting failed to upload in the LMS

Hi everyone,

We recently created a few projects in Rise 360 and used localization. It was quick and after translating it into 6 languages, the SCROM 1.2 file was sized around 540 MB.

However, the SCROM  failed multiple times while the LMS team tried to upload the file. Anybody is else facing similar issues?

File specifics: SCROM 1.2, LMS used: Successfactors, file size: 540 MB, Localization: in 6 languages.

Dear Articulate team, please guide us through this problem and suggest a possible solution.

Thank you everyone!

For an update: We published the file with SCROM 2004 2nd edition (all languages in a single LMS) settings and it was successfully uploaded in the LMS and is working as required.

To answer your question: All the six languages were exported in a single LMS package. We did discuss with the LMS team regarding a report on this but couldn't get much out of it.

  • Hi AvinashGautam-4 there are a few reasons why a file may fail to import into an LMS. For example, the LMS might impose a maximum file size limit, or the SCORM package may be incorrectly packaged.

When you say the course is translated into 6 languages, does that mean you have six different SCORM modules, or is it a single module and the user selects their language?

Are you able to get any other diagnostic information from the LMS when it fails to upload. Status: Failed doesn't provide a reason why it failed.

Can you provide a screen shot of the structure of the root of your SCORM zip file. I need to see what is in the file when you open the zip file, as the LMS requires a very specific file to be present in the root of the zip file.

Glad you got it working. If the LMS supports 3rd or 4th edition, they are better as they have better data support.
