Rise and adding Audio
I'm playing around in Rise and I cannot see a way to add audio. Is this not possible? Currently I'm looking at an Image and text, but I would want to add audio to almost anything. This would be highly disappointing.
Hello everyone,
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360!
This update includes a new feature that lets you add audio to scenario blocks so your content can be even more interactive. There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Any idea when this feature might be added? We are trying to make our training as accessible as possible and adding audio that would automatically start playing would be helpful.
Hi Valentin!
Accessibility is important to us, too! Our plans are to meet WCAG 2.1 by the end of 2020, and this will include full screen reader support. Screen readers will read every element on the screen, so you won't need to add audio manually. We'll let you know when we've got more to share!
Sure, Ryan! Here's the list of blocks I used in that lesson.
- Paragraph with heading block
- Continue block (completion type: none)
- Audio block
- Continue block (completion type: complete block directly above)

- Audio block
Let me know if that helps!

Hi Heidi, I am here to help. To upload an audio file, click on Record audio.
Then click on upload a file.
Select the file from your computer and click on Open.

Quite disappointing if there's no progress on this yet after 5 years of folks asking for it. It should be default to be able to add an audio track to pretty much any Rise block - even if for sound effects or music, much less narration.

Hey,
I realise I am late to the party but is it now possible to add sound to one of my flip cards in Rise?
Thanks
Gary

Hi Gary! No audio in flip cards, right now. We're still tracking requests for it, and we'll update this thread once we make changes that will help!

Hi Great work here
I am trying to relocate the audio insert from the bottom of the Timeline block to the top section of the timeline block. I have seen it in an articulate rise video but not seen how it was done.
Thank you
Hi Gary,
When you add audio to the events in your timeline block, the audio playbar will automatically appear at the top of the event like this:

Hi, is there a way of adding a background music to my rise training? I found it can get more motivating if is not onlytext and images
- LeaSAgatoStaff
Thanks for reaching out, Luciana! Rise doesn't have a background music feature, but you can check out this thread for suggestions from the community that you can try.

Hello! Is there a way to add downloadable audios to courses in Rise? We would need for the student to be able to download mp3s. Thank you.
