Hi Dave,
You could try recording an audio clip in Storyline 360, then exporting it to a MP3 file. From there, upload the MP3 file into Rise. It's a roundabout method, but it should work!

Ok thanks Alyssa, I will give that a go. It's non urgent now but thanks for your advice, much appreciated .
You're welcome, Dave! Good luck on your project, and let us know if you run into any snags along the way. ๐

Since Rise does not have an audio editor, is there a way pull the audio from an MP4 to load into Rise?
My audio was originally recorded in Replay 360.
Hi Greg,
You'll want to use a video editing tool to extract the audio from the MP4 file. I'm sure the community can recommend the best tools for the job!
I can see how an audio export feature would be handy in Replay 360. If that's something you would like to see in a future update, let us know here!

We have a requirement to add audio (with an option for it to start automatically) to the very first page of the course, where you see the course overview/description in text (also when the user clicks Details button). I could not see a way to do it. Is there a way to do that?
Many thanks,
Ozlem Hi Ozlem,
Although adding audio to the course main page in Rise isn't an option yet, I'd love to let our team know about your idea. Would you mind telling me a little more about why adding audio to the course main page would come in handy for you? What type of scenario would you use it in?
Thanks so much for letting us know how we can make things better!

Hi Alyssa,
In our case, we have developed a series of videos based on a futuristic scenario of the company for our internal staff. Through stories within that scenario we deliver key messages, things to look out for and some tips.
These videos and supporting resources for employees' use in their real work life are accessed trough a Rise course. When our audience comes to the very first page of the Rise course, we think that they may not read the introductory text, about the futuristic context of the videos, so we would like to have a quick audio clip there.
I hope this explains the need and our thinking.
Thank you very much. It would be great if you could add this feature in.
Thanks for the context, Ozlem. I created a feature request for you! If you have any other great ideas, use that link to let us know. ๐

Create a folder on the web and link to audio to be play as an option for blocks and pages....

Has this feature been implemented? I know many times when we are creating content, we run into the same situations where we will put content in the block and the SME may want to record a voice over in the backgroud to play automatically to discuss the content. This is most likely not word for word, for example it could be a graph of statistics and the voiceover could be a brief summary. Of course this could be created in SL or PPT and imported, however the flow isn't as smoothe as creating it in Rise.

Hi Jen. Last year, staff member Crystal Horn replied to me saying:
Media in Rise must be clicked to play (unless itโs an animated image, like a .GIF).
We have shied away from auto-start of media because itโs not a web-standard experience on multi-device. Most phone browsers actually prevent auto-play of media. It usually needs to be user-initiated.
As far as I know that hasn't changed, unless there's been an update that I haven't heard about...
