Rise courses "resuming" by default with no other option

When closed and re-launched, courses created in Rise automatically resume progress. I had users, who were not able to complete some courses - they were stuck on lessons that used "Complete the conte...

Hi Everyone,

There is 1 issue in rise related to resuming course. There is no option like storyline for "resume course" "prompt to resume". And when it is automatically resuming few lessson showing incompleted, even though i have completed them.

I am using SCORM 1.2.

Please suggest.

Thanks for reaching out! Rise 360 automatically resumes courses from where a learner left off, and unlike Storyline 360, it doesn’t currently include options like “Prompt to Resume” or “Never Resume.”

I can understand how that can be frustrating when lessons appear incomplete even after being viewed.

If this happens, try having the learner relaunch the course in a new browser session or ask your LMS administrator to clear the learner’s suspend data or reset their course attempt. That forces the course to start fresh.

Since you’re publishing for SCORM 1.2, switching to SCORM 2004 (3rd or 4th Edition) can also help, as it allows more resume data to be stored and can prevent tracking issues.

I’ve shared your note with our product team so they’re aware of the need for more flexible resume options in Rise 360.
