Rise is auto-cropping

Hello!

Does anyone know of a way to prevent Rise from auto-cropping elements? I have been dealing with it in a couple different ways, but the one I really need help with is that Rise is cropping the sides off my Storyline interaction. Because I have it sitting on a dark background, the crop is adding white lines above and below. (See attached.)

The original Storyline file is 960x540 and the block is set to a medium width in Rise.

I have seen it do this with image blocks as well. I've created dividers to span the width, but Rise crops the sides off, making the image taller than I want it to be.

Any help (especially with the Storyline cropping) would be appreciated!

  • Hi there, Andrea. Thanks for that screenshot of the white bars around your Storyline interaction.

I wasn't able to reproduce this behavior. Here are the settings I used:

    • Default Storyline slide size of 4x3
    • Same slide background, player background, and Storyline block background color
    • Modern player turned off

Can you let us know if you used different settings? You can share details and your project files with us privately by connecting with us here. We'll be glad to see what's going on!

  • Thanks Crystal,

So sorry I didn't see your response until now. The way I got around it was to change the player color to custom match the background used in Rise. It solved the problem. Thanks for responding!
