Rise narration

I have been asked to create an online course. I can use the audio files, however they are asking for the ability to do narration. Is this a possibility?
I prefer Rise and know that I could use Storyline, however it takes me twice as long to create a course in Storyline.

Wondering minds!

  • Hi Donna! Thanks for your interest in adding a narration to a Rise course. Adding a narration that follows along with the course isn't available in Rise right now. You can add audio to a block that the learner can click on to listen to.

I've added you to our feature request list, and we'll update this thread once we make any changes!

      Hello,

Has the ability to add narration in Rise been updated yet?

The expanded AI narration options, even when creating custom blocks, is great.

However adding audio is still feature the user must select.

Storyline - Voiceover - automatically plays - can be used to restrict navigation

Rise - Narration - optional/user presses the play button (or not) - does not restrict navigation

      Hello LaraMcK,

Thanks for sharing this! You’re right that narration in Rise is currently optional and requires learners to press play, which is different from how Storyline handles voiceover with auto-play and navigation control.

I’ve added your feedback to the feature request so our product team can see how important it is for you to have narration behave more seamlessly.

We’ll keep tracking this, and your input will help guide future improvements.

Running into the same challenge. I really like the AI generated text to speech capability. And requiring the learner to click the audio play button is . . . less than thrilling.
