RISE Progress Tracking Issue in LMS
Hi Michael - did you ever get a solution to this issue with Canvas as we are having similar issues with completion data in course
- GrenForonda3 years agoStaff
Hi David!
We're waiting for Michael's confirmation, but the issue is most likely related to exceeding the suspend data limits imposed by the LMS.
The suspend_data element for a Rise 360 SCORM course tells the learning management system (LMS) where you left off when exiting the course and lets you resume later in the same place without having to start over. The course won't resume correctly once the limit has been exceeded. See more details here:

Based on the article above - if you have a large course that exceeds suspend data limits, try shortening the course or splitting it into smaller modules. Or, export your course for SCORM 2004 3rd Edition or 4th Edition, both of which support much longer suspend data.If the issue persists despite the above workarounds, please create a support case so we may look into this issue closely.

Good Morning David,
Thank you for reaching out. I did not ever get a solution to this issue with Canvas. I am happy to discuss as you like.

Hi – I did get this reply from Rise (see below) – and will do some testing– I also noticed a difference from using Google Chrome and Firefox in terms of data being send and retrieved from Canvas – but this was a quick test and may mean nothing – will try to make sense of the testing over the next few days and get back to you
Cheers
