Rise Sidebar

Hello,

I hope someone can help troubleshoot this problem. I selected to begin this course with "Begin with the sidebar open," but when it is embedded into the LMS or sent for review using the link below, it begins the course with the sidebar closed. Can someone look at the link I provided and tell me why it is doing the opposite of what I selected?

Thank you, I greatly appreciate your help on this.

  • The initial screen is the menu screen and that won't display the sidebar. Once I started the course, the sidebar displayed. It appears to be working as it should.

      Tom,

I think I have corrected some of the problems by adjusting the height and width: width="1700" height="780". What are your thoughts?

  • Thank you, I think I know what is going on. It was compressing the course on mobile devices. Therefore, the sidebar only opens on my desktop, not my mobile devices. Did you try it on a mobile device?

I tried it on a mobile device and the sidebar starts closed.

        Thank you, Karl.

I think it is the dimensions that may be causing the problem as well.

Yes, this helps. Thank you, Tom! When you made your screen smaller, why didn't the sidebar remain open?

I will show your walk-through to the faculty and staff.

      Thanks, Again

  • Rise courses are designed to be responsive to the device. As the screen resolution/dimensions change, the course will respond and change how it's displayed. At some point, the sidebar menu will collapse by default, that's part of responsive design.
