Same questions on Quiz Retry - Question Bank

Hello!

If the learner fails the quiz and retries it, I want the same set of random questions from the question bank presented to the learner. As it works now, they are being presented with an all new set of questions instead.

How do I fix that? Do I need to remove the reset results trigger?

Thank you!

  • Happy Thursday, Jennifer!

When the Draw questions randomly option is checked, Storyline will draw a new set of random questions each time learners click the Retry button.

We're tracking requests for a feature to retry the same randomized questions, so I'll share your post with my team and circle back with any updates.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi, I'm facing the opposite problem as Jennifer. When I clicked the Retry button, I got the same questions, I checked the settings and the questions are drawn randomly. I don't know how to get a different set of questions when click the Retry button.

      Hello Echo!

Is it possible that you have certain question slides locked in the question bank? Another thought, do you have your settings so that the user can only retry questions they've answered incorrectly?

It would be helpful to see your .story file. You can either share it in this discussion or privately in a support case.

Hello! As I am having the same issues as Jennifer, I was wondering, if there have been any updates during the last 3 years?

  • Welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community, Annika! We're glad you're here. 😀

I have no updates regarding the feature to retry the same randomized questions from a question bank. I've informed our product team of your need as we are continuing to track votes for this request.

If you have other comments to add related to your use case, I'd be happy to add them to the feature report.
