Section Titles & Structures
We're trying to build a lengthy course in rise, that has Lesson>Topic structure, and are trying to use the Section Title structure.
Some frustrations:
- The Section Titles are smaller font than the Topic titles... this makes them a bit obscure.
- You can't enter content at the Lesson level - sometimes there is introductory material that we'd like to put at that level.
- The other issue, is that when going through the course, you can't tell when the next Lesson begins. There is no transition between the last topic of the first Lesson and the first topic of the second Lesson, for example.
- Topics are numbered continuously; e.g. under Lesson 1, you'd see Topics 1-4. Then, under Lesson 2, the continue numbering Topic 5-9 instead of starting the numbering over for that lesson. I'd like to be able to designate this renumbering option for each section.
Hello everyone,
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Automatically collapse sections in sidebar and compact navigation.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to publish your Rise 360 course again.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Being able to renumber lessons would be a big help. We designate the Welcome part of a new course as Lesson 0, and that's not very doable in Rise.

Hey Adam,
Thanks for this feedback! Would you be up for logging a feature request to tell us more about how this ability would improve your experience using Rise 360?
Please let me know if you have any questions.

One thing that might work would be to add some text and a continue button at the end of the section to let the learner know that they are moving on to the next section.
TEXT EXPLAINING WHAT IS COMING NEXT IN THE COURSE
Continue to NAME OF THE SECTION

I very much like the Sections feature. I have a course with 13 chapters each numbered.
One issue is that the default is to always show them expanded, with the lessons listed. One can "close" the chapter, by clicking on the triangle. But next time, they again show in the expanded form.
Is there some way to control the expanded vs closed form. For example, to stay as the user last set them at.
Thank you. Daniel.
Thanks for sharing, Daniel!
I've added your thoughts to our feature request to allow sections on the course outline to start as collapsed. I'll let you know here if we make any changes that will help!

+1 for this request. The biggest problem is that if you use sections you have to have all topics in a section. Example:
Intro (Topic)
Section One
- Topic A
- Topic B
Section Two
- Topic A
- Topic B
Outro (topic)
In the above structure, the Outro topic will appear as if it is in Section Two in the TOC/menu, but it isn't.

Hi Team
This request has been ongoing for OVER three years in this and other threads. The threads in themselves are indicative of how important this feature request is for many users and their learners. The fact that it is NOT on your roadmap is concerning!!!
My question is WHY is this not on your roadmap?
You only need to trawl through the threads and requests to see this is not a 'nice to have feature' but a necessity for our learners to simplify their user experience.
In addition - I have just reviewed the features on your roadmap. My concern is that you are adding more bells and whistles but not attending to foundational navigation features to enhance and support the user experience to move through a course.

Please address these comments. It's so frustrating how, again and again with Rise, I encounter a problem and search the forums for a solution only to find that people have been asking for it to be addressed for YEARS.
