Share links for modules/ activities not working on LMS

We have been using the share button feature and copying links from each individual modules/ activities from our programmes and then putting these as hyperlinks in each individual activity on our LMS. However we have noticed that sometimes these hyperlinks to our Articulate programmes will stop working all of sudden and we are not sure why.

Is there any guidance for why this might be and how we can stop this happening in the future?

Thanks. :)

  • Hi Sally!

Sorry to hear that your Rise Share links stop working. Can you share some details on what happens when they stop working -- are these launching the page but displaying an error (such as a Page not found error) or does nothing happen when they are clicked?

When hosting Rise courses in the LMS, we recommend exporting the Rise course to LMS, then uploading the exported ZIP file to your LMS. See more details here.

    Hi Gren,

    Thanks for your feedback!

The link when broken goes to a blank page (no error message, just nothing appears) when it previously linked to a correct page.  Would this issue be resolved if we exported the course?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Sally!

Thanks for your response. Does this behavior occur for all users who try to access the Share link? Does the same issue occur when using a different browser or a different device? We recommend opening a case and sharing these details so our Support Team can look into this issue further.

If you choose to export the Rise course to LMS, you won't use the Share link anymore as the course will be uploaded to the LMS. Depending on the LMS, you may be able to add/enroll users in the course, or have a link to share with your users.

It occurs for all users on links at random times! I will try opening a case to see if they can provide further details. :)

    Thank you!

      Hi Sally,

If you are using a LMS, why are you using Share links instead of importing the course into the LMS?
