“Tile” option not working in a drag-and-drop activity

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with the “Tile” option in a drag-and-drop activity.

When several labels are dropped onto the same drop target, they should automatically be arranged in a tiled layout. However, in my activity, this option does not seem to work as expected, and the labels are not positioned correctly.

I have attached a short demonstration video showing the issue.

Has anyone experienced the same problem? Is there a specific setting I may have missed, or a possible workaround?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  • I can't speak to this precise problem, but there is a history of the drag-and-drop interactions breaking somehow in a few different ways. Depending on one's perspective, the solution (un)fortunately seems to be to delete the old shapes/objects and create new ones. In your case, I would personally try deleting and replacing the target shapes first.

I agree with Andrew; this is often the solution for this problem. Is the target a group? As this is another common cause of issues.

  • Hello AndrewBlemings- & DShaw,

    Thank you for your replies.

The two drop targets were not part of a group.

The suggested solution worked: I deleted the existing drop targets and created two new ones from scratch. The issue is now resolved.
