I can't speak to this precise problem, but there is a history of the drag-and-drop interactions breaking somehow in a few different ways. Depending on one's perspective, the solution (un)fortunately seems to be to delete the old shapes/objects and create new ones. In your case, I would personally try deleting and replacing the target shapes first.
