Should I provide the LMS files to a third party?
Hello All,
New to this. I am a vendor and created training for a client to view. As of now, i send them the link with a password. But, recently I've had clients ask if they could upload it into their LMS. Part of the answer is based on my company's policy but what would be the risk if I said yes and sent them the file? If updates are made to my course, will it reflect for them? Do they have the ability to manipulate the info? Thank You.

Hi Phil,
For your client to import the course into their LMS, you need to export it as a SCORM file which will produce a ZIP file as the output.
Your client cannot edit the text content in the ZIP file. They can however extract and replace image and video files.
If you make changes to your Rise course, your client will not get the changes until you send them a fresh SCORM output file that contains those changes.

Thank you!
At any point where I don’t want the clients to have it anymore, can I retract? Cancel it?

Hi Phil,
Once you have given the client a SCORM ZIP file, you no longer have control over what they do with it.

Hi Karl and Phil,
I have a similar question. I have requested training from vendors and they have the same concerns as you. Does anyone have a solution? Is there a way to share these files while still maintaining control of them?

Hi Sarah and Phil,
I have no experience with this but seems worth looking at: https://rusticisoftware.com/products/scorm-cloud/dispatch/
