Size of Storyline block in Rise - Help!
Is there a way to control the size of how a Storyline interaction inside of a Rise block appears? Despite me setting the Storyline width size to small and using no padding, my Storyline files created at 720 px X 405 px (16 X 9) appear on a desktop monitor (in my case a resolution of 1280 X 1024) so large that people have to scroll to see the top and bottom of it.

Hi Gordon,
Since Rise is responsive, the content is going to scale to fit your browser. If you're using a larger desktop monitor and allowing the browser sizing to match that you'll see the Rise course scale to fit.
Have you tested the various Storyline block widths to see the difference? I did a quick screen recording of two blocks I had, one at the small width and one at full width.

@ashley Terwillinger: I have the opposite problem. I created a SL to add as a block to my Rise 360 course. The resolution is 1024 X 576. It looks fine on my monitor from Preview and Review modes. But when I add it to my Rise course, it is so small you can barely read it. I tried the two default sizes and have the same result. Can you help?
Hi there, Cindy. I added just one slide of your template to a Rise 360 lesson. You can click here to view what I'm seeing for each of the three size options.
Are you seeing something different for full width and medium Storyline block options?

My apologies Ashley but I misstated and reversed the sizing. I am essentially using 9 X 16 - a portrait orientation - hence my Storyline file is 405 Wide X 720 long. But as you describe, what is happening is it is scaling to monitor width - but that makes the length way too long - hence the vertical scrolling on a desktop.
Hi Gordon,
I set up a Storyline course with the same slide size, and when I added it to Rise, I kept the small width setting, and that allowed it to not fully scale to match what my monitor displayed. I took a quick Peek video of the Preview, at the largest size and then as I scaled the course smaller.
There is still a bit of scrolling to be done, but as you'll see not that much.
If your course is looking/behaving differently could you include the Share link here so I can take a look?

Hi Ashley,
Mine seems to have a lot more scrolling. Here is a review link: https://rise.articulate.com/share/RMGn-r47_eVCHaTLPbolXMCp6J7Z-BQT. Please launch the 6th item down called Email Activity. I have also attached the SL file.
Thanks, Gordon. Both were really helpful. I've shared this with a few other teammates and we're still comparing your example with mine. It would help to know more about your monitor and browser that you're viewing the courses on? Can you let me know when you have a chance? For example, I viewed the course in Chrome ver. 70 on my LG UltraFine 5K Display.

Hi Ashely,
I don't believe this is monitor specific as it is happening on several different monitors, older dell 4x3 and newer dell 16x9 with a minimum resolution of 1280 x 720 and up. It also happens with both IE 11 and chrome 68 and 70
Sorry if I've confused the issue further for you, Gordon.
What I was looking to know is the monitor pixel density of the computer the .story file was created on. Is the monitor you're using one that would be called a retina or a 4K monitor?

no worries! and no, these are standard corporate non-retina monitors. But at home I have a fancy Samsung 4k monitor at 3840x2160 and I also have to scroll.
Thanks, Gordon. I'll be discussing this with my team and will be back in touch as soon as I can.

Has this issue been resolved at all? I am experiencing the same issue. I specifically designed my Storyline file to be 295 x 540, and it's showing up as MASSIVE when I put it into Rise. This will not work for my needs at all and ruins the look of the course.

I typically use a width of 650 in SL360 and that seems to be pretty close to scale when put into Rise. It's probably all outta whack on other folks screens but seems to work for me.

Hi Ashely,
I thought I would share another SL360 file that has the same issue.
