SL Keeps Moving the Timeline
Hi Lloyd,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.
The first thing I'd like to do is observe and test the behavior on my end to see if it is normal behavior, or something that needs to be reported. Is it okay if you created a recording for me so we can try to replicate the behavior?
For Articulate 360 subscribers, Peek 360 is the quickest way to record a screencast, and it's available for Windows and Mac. Follow the steps below:
-
Launch Peek 360 on your computer and click New Recording.
-
Select the application you want to record, then choose a microphone (if you have one) when the recording window appears.
-
Click the red Record button and reproduce the issue.
-
When you're finished, click Done on the recording control bar or click the Peek 360 icon in your system tray (by the clock).
-
You can preview your recording, give it a name, and then click Upload to send it to your Articulate 360 account.
-
Windows will notify you when it's done uploading, and a link to your screencast will automatically be copied to your clipboard.
-
Share the link with us.
Looking forward to your response!

Hey Joe,
It's actually fairly simple to reproduce without using Peak 360.
1. Create a new file.
2. Create 2 objects, moving Object 1 maybe a minute or two out.
3. Now if you simply click the visibility of Object 1 or Object 2, Articulate will center each object in my timeline.
4. This removes the focus from where the playhead is and centers the object instead.
Solution #1: Create a better Options section to toggle this feature (of center focusing a layer) on or off (it was not in previous versions so obviously someone implemented it).
Solution #2: Create a better timeline where it only show on the screen where the playhead is so I don't actually have to sit here and toggle X amount of layers on or off.
