Slider disabled click events

I have a slider which should be able to be locked and unlocked (enabled and disabled). My idea is, on user double click event on this slider to have it toggle between these two states, ...
Have you considered an object on top of the slider that toggles to hidden when double clicked and back to normal when the slider is double clicked.
