Slider Issue on mobile device

I have a slider where the behavior should show a specific layer when the user RELEASES the slider at a certain location. This works find on the desktop but the behavior changes on a mobile device.

On iPhone (Chrome and Safari) when the dot is moved over the specific location, the layer automatically displays WITHOUT waiting for the user to release the slider.

Why does this behave differently on a mobile device?  I think this is a bug.

Yes, that does sound very much like what I've experienced, but only on iPhone.

  • Hi Marty,

Thanks for adding your story file! I'm sorry the "When learner releases" setting isn't working on iOS! After testing your file, I found out that you are experiencing a bug in the software. I have reported the bug and added your voice to the report. If there's any news regarding this bug, this conversation will be updated.

Thanks for letting us know about this!

  • Hi! Has anyone found a fix to this? I'm having the same issue and I can't find too much info online to fix this.

      Hi PricilaChinc168!

Sorry to hear you've also run into this setback!

As my teammate John shared, we have this behavior logged as a bug in Storyline 360. This bug causes the "When learner releases" Slider setting to malfunction, when playing back a Storyline course on iOS hardware. I've included your voice in the bug report we are tracking, and we'll be sure to notify you as soon as a fix is in place.

Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!
