Software simulation with multiple hotspots on main screen
Dear Jose, thanks again for your demo, which got me started on my Storyline learning curve. I'm going to have to create some software training courses where I'll first give the learners time to discover the interfaces for themselves. In one program I have an interface with a lot of dropdown lists that aren't sequential and I'd like to give learners the freedom to discover the interface in their own way.
To illustrate my point, here's a demo based on your demo, and I'd like you to challenge my vision:
- is it the right approach to have all interactions on one slide?
- if so, how do you position the hotspots correctly on "Screen recording actions" such as the drop-down menu?
- I had to disable the "Screen recording action" trigger for my demo to work. I'm not sure that's very elegant.
Many thanks in advance for your reply

Hi Fabrice,
You are very welcome. Regarding your follow-up inquiry, if your main requirement is to provide multiple interactions on a single slide to your learners, then you're better off building the slide from scratch and designing the interactions yourself. For example, you can add hotspots in a slide that make layers appear, then repeat the process to display other graphics.
Check out slide 2 in the attached file where I created my interaction with the drop-down using a hotspot, trigger, and a screenshot of the drop-down menu. Feel free to attach a copy of the actual project file that you're working on here and I'm sure other community members will be glad to share their feedback and input!
