Software simulation with screenshots/recordings outside of SL

Hi folks,

I'm in the process of figuring out the best way to build a simulation in Storyline. Our SMEs don't have access to Storyline and won't be able to record screen casts with the tool. Is it possible to create simulations with externally recorded videos? I can't find any clear guidance on this within the user guide. If not, how do I go about doing this with still screenshots?
