Splitting binary and text files?

Does anyone have tips or tricks for splitting out the binary (images, videos) and text files (HTML, JS, CSS) of a published Rise course? Our web server requires they be separate despite Rise generating them all together. I hear it's incredibly time consuming so any advice appreciated!
