Spreadsheets

Hi everyone

I've got a project that requires learners to review information on a number of large spreadsheets.  The information is too much to create in a table in Storyline.  I have suggested that we could upload the spreadsheets to the resources tab but my client does not want learners to be able to download and save the spreadsheets - the module is an assessment.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

TIA

Jen

  • Standard Storyline tables...yes that will soon become a drama with a lot of data. The use of Tabulator ( https://tabulator.info/ ) might help. All the pro's of real tables directly inside Storyline.

If you share some of the complex sheets... i gladly help setting it up in Storyline/Tabulator.

  • Hi Math

Thanks for your very kind offer.  When I had a look at tabulator I realised it would be way more than I could manage - particularly in the timeframe of this project.  I went back to the owner and they have agreed to cut the spreadsheets down - less columns and rows - that I can cut and paste as images over several slides.

However, I'd love to see a sample in SL, if you have one, as I will keep this in mind for future projects.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Warm regards

    Jen

  • Hi Jen,

Have you thought of using a Scroll Panel?

If you capture a large image and paste it into the Scroll Panel, the user can simply scroll around it as they would within Excel.
