I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I tested this out and I'm unable to replicate the issue. I'd like to ask a few clarifying questions to help me troubleshoot.
- Does this only happen with one pattern fill? If you create a new one, does the issue persist?
- Is this happening with only one project or multiple projects?
- If only one, have you tried importing your slides into a new Storyline file?
- If this is happening with all projects, you can try a Storyline repair
