States don't work

Without seeing the slide it's a bit of a guess. However, it looks like it could be a trigger order. From the screen it looks like the trigger is set to jump to slide and then change the state. But if you leave the slide the rest of the trigger doesn't fire.
See if changing the trigger order helps.
