Stop auto-play in embedded video - Rise
I have three iframe embedded videos, one on each tab of an interactive tabs block in Rise. During testing, once the section is loaded/displayed on the screen, all three videos start playing at the same time. Is there something I can do to stop this auto-playing? Thanks!

Hi Nancy, are you using the share link to view your course, or is it hosted in an LMS? We'd be happy to troubleshoot your issue further, please submit a support case here, and one of our Customer Support Engineers will be in touch to work with you directly. Thanks!

Same issue. How disappointing that this was reported 2 years ago and is still an issue today. The Continue divider does prevent them from all playing together but it still plays the first video once the Continue button is pressed (versus waiting for the learner to press play on the video). I'll submit a support case but why hasn't this been addressed after 2 years?

I am running into the same issue when embedding from our instance of Kaltura. I've even modified the embed code to disable autoplay with no success. This is a pretty significant issue for us, as we often have multiple videos in one lesson.
Hi Daniel! Sorry to hear you're having trouble with auto-playing embedded videos. Have you tried inserting Continue buttons between each video to prevent autoplay?
If you'd like our team can take a look at your exported course and test on our end. You can send it privately here.

I think the point is Continue buttons are work arounds and really ruin the look and feel of the final product. I don't think people mind using a work around once or twice but it is not a permanent solution. It's been three years since the issue was first reported. We all know it takes time to work through a bug list, but at three years you just aren't trying to fix it.

I'm having this issue despite adding the 'continue' blocks as advised

I am having the same issue. Can you share if there was any resolution to this?
Hi Michelle, thanks for reaching out! Could you please share your course with us privately so our team can take a look?
Thank you for opening a case for this issue, Deborah! My teammate, Gren, is already reviewing the files you sent in. You'll hear back from her soon!

I am also having this issue. Is there still no other way around this than using Continue dividers?
Hey there Kimberly, sorry to hear you're also experiencing this issue. Could you please share your course with us?

I'm having the same issue. All embedded iframes autoplay at once when the page loads. My client doesn't want continue buttons.

Any progress on this issue? I am having the same problem on ALL of my Rise courses. I understand that adding a continue button is a workaround, but that can really clutter up a page with a few videos.
Hi Steph,
Thanks for chiming in here, and I'd love to hear more about what you're seeing. What block types are you using? If you're able to send us your course share link, that would be helpful!
