Stop replaying audio when user returns to slide
Hi, I'm wondering if there's a solution for the issue the OP experienced as I've got a similar issue. The only difference is my audio file is an MP3. Thanks
Hi KarenWicks-029a!
Happy to help!
Reviewing Diana's case, my colleague Robert shared a sample design to address her audio playback issue:
I understand you find the audio in a Storyline 360 slide plays again when returning from a different slide.
An audio object is an element that doesn't have a state. A slide's timeline starts when the slide is loaded. There could be a few solutions to your inquiry; however, the key idea is to know when to play the audio file. We can use the following to achieve that by using it in the trigger condition:
A) a Variable (T/F) to toggle or
B) a shape with an additional state
I used a shape with an additional state in the attached sample, so there is no need to maintain or create a variable. Depending on your design, we can use a single variable/shape for all the audio files or create one for each. I named the objects so they would be easier to follow. Please see the screenshot below for more details.
If you're still having trouble, seeing a copy of the .story file you've been working with would be helpful! feel free to share that here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
