StoryLine - Pictures / Images not showing

I have had the same issue. Except I had not even yet published the module. All images (even though they were in .jpg format) or were Articulate characters would not display. Initially I could see they were there in the thumbnail, but on the actual slide the images were not visible. Placeholder was there, meaning I could click on the item, I just couldn't see it. I had to provide this file for an audit, so all images have now had to be replaced.
Like a previous poster, it seemed to be an issue after an update a couple of months ago. Obviously this is not an ideal situation.
