Storyline block accessibility support in Rise
One of our clients is asking for an accessible scenario questions within Rise. As we know that accessibility support for scenario blocks in Rise is still in development, we thought of a workaround of adding Storyline blocks within Rise. Now it's not clear in your documentations or roadmap whether Storyline blocks in Rise are fully (or partially) accessible, can someone shed some light on this?

Hi Arjun!
Thanks for reaching out! If the Storyline interaction itself is accessible, it will still be accessible as a block in Rise 360. This also follows for embedded web content as well. It will be up to the author of the content or the Storyline interaction to make it accessible, and it should work in Rise 360. Hope that helps!
Hi Matthew! Thanks for bringing that up!
For Storyline Blocks:- Use Tab and Shift+Tab to navigate Storyline interactions. A yellow box will appear around the selected object as you move through the content.
- Press Enter or the spacebar to activate buttons and links, select answer choices, and interact with media.

The above information is very helpful, just wanted to know if JAWS be able to read the content within the Storyline Block.
Hi there, Luis. Yes, JAWS will have access to your Storyline block content!

@Arjun, I am doing the same thing - creating scenarios in SL and embedding them into Rise. So far so good! If you have any tip of what has worked/not worked for you, please let me know :)

Just starting looking at using accessible Storyline blocks in Rise, with limited success - picking up buttons fine, but not shapes with text on them at all - alt text has been added, and focus order changed,,, using NVDA to test, using share link in RISE,,, any tips on what I'm doing wrong?

I am noticing the same issues as Jay - has there been any updates on this?

@sally there were working ok in Jaws it seems - but NVDA was problematic. Luckily most of our org uses jaws, we have always tended to use NVDA to test though as it's cheaper (free),,,
