Storyline crashing when recording audio
I completed a project with audio last week that worked beautifully. Audio recording was working fine when I began this new project. Today I did a Storyline update, and now, when I record audio the whole program crashes. Sometimes I can manage to get the audio for one slide, and I'll save and move to the next slide, record the audio, open it up to do some minor editing, save and close, and it's at that point that Storyline crashes.
Has anyone else experienced this upon doing an update? Is there something else I should consider as the possible source of the problem? I'm not doing anything differently than I did when it worked well, at least, not that I'm aware of.

I am experiencing the same problem! To get by today, close the error box using the red X in the top right corner (you may have to do this several times). Make your audio edits in the audio editor, and when you're ready to save, instead of choosing save and close, close the audio edit box with it's red X in the right corner. When it asks if you want to save, choose Yes. It worked for me. I wasn't able do all of the edits like that, but I could cut and slice. Hope this helps.
Note to self, don't upgrade software when you're under an enormous deadline. Wait until the deadline passes! Ugh!

Same exact issue. Any solution?
I have installed the most recent update per Articulate instructions. Submitted the file, a screencast of the crash occurring with a detailed explanation (Case #00328353). No virus on computer. Storing file on C drive. More than enough computer to handle the processing. I attempted using Audacity to record and then import. Same result. Help.

I am having the same problem. Constant crashes when editing audio. Does anybody have a fix?

The fix that seems to have worked for me was to create a new, blank storyline file and import the slides from the problem file. I did that and have been able to edit the audio files for the past several attempts without crashing.

Hi there Mike. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
Have you tried the suggestion Jesse shared?
If you're not quite sure how to import from an existing file, please take a look at the following tutorial:
Importing from Another Storyline Project
Let us know if this helps!
Thanks,
Christine

Nope, that is not the fix. Just starting crashing again.

Hi Jesse,
Oh no, sorry to hear that's started again. Are you able to respond to Cleo's last message from your support case? If so, please let him know that the issue has returned.
If you no longer have the last message from Cleo, just let me know. I'd be happy to try and send it out again, or ask Cleo to resend it.
Thanks Jesse,
Christine
