Storyline File Assets Corrupted

I tried to open a Storyline file today that I haven't worked on for about a week. It told me that that some of the assets are corrupted and that it was going to try to recover them. Well, that...

Did you save an earlier version of the .story file? I try to save with a new name at least once a day to avoid this very type of problem.
If you make a copy of your Storyline file and rename it to .zip, you can unzip it and see if the audio assets are still there, just with broken references.
If you have a recent SCORM file, you can unzip that and find all the audio files in it. You'll have to play them to identify them, the names are changed to gibberish as part of publication.
Worse come to worst, take the course and make a high-audio-quality screen recording. Use Audacity or Audition to chop out the narration you need. (This won't work if you have background music, but you could still use it plus text-to-speech to create a current script.)
