Storyline: Invalid or Corrupt File
I was experiencing this same issue. I tried everything I could find with no success. I had everything saved locally to my computer, so it wasn't a network issue. I finally tried reinstalling Storyline, and it opened without a problem!! I was in the final stages of grief, but I am so thankful the project is saved.

I see that you've also been working with my teammate Carlo, through a support case. As he shared, it appears your .story file may have been affected by a Storyline 360 bug we recently fixed. This bug caused Storyline 360 to incorrectly mark some projects with Zoom Regions as corrupt. As a result, this prevented them from opening, indicating they were invalid.
So glad to hear your course has been recovered. I'm sorry if this slowed you down!
