Storyline markers - change placement of text box

Hi,

I have added add a number of markers to a slide and populated the related texted boxes. All the text boxes are postioned in the lower left hand corner of the maker by default. This is giving me layout issues as text boxes are either off screen to the left or covering vital background information.

I can resize the text boxes using the handles but I can't find a method to reposition them i.e. lower right, top right etc.

Regards

Trevor

  • Hi Ande,

Sorry for my confusion I thought you meant the cursor of the user when accessing the course, not the cursor for while you're editing the course slides. I don't believe there is a way to edit that cursor in Storyline either for changes to it's color and visibility .

Can you hide the text box on a marker after the user sees it once?

  • Hi Teresa,

Are you looking to make it so the user can't click on the marker a second time to see the information? You could set it up to change the state of the marker to be disabled and that would allow for the user to only click once.

  • Hi I am trying to change the size of the marker text box/popup. some if my information is only a sentence but the box is so big.

      Hi Gene,

      Thanks for reaching out!

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of what you're trying to change in your project so we can share some suggestions with you? Feel free to share your project file as we'll if you're comfortable so we can open your course to see exactly what you'd like to modify.
