Hello, The storyline menu places a checkmark next to the slide that the user is currently viewing. Is there a way to change that so that the checkmark doesn't appear until the slide has been viewed ...

There isn't a way to modify the behavior of when the checkmarks appear right now, but we are currently tracking the demand for this change through a feature request. I've added your voice to the report so we can notify you when this feature gets released!
