Storyline randomly changing text boxes to remove word wrap
Hi Noah! I'm sorry for the issues you are experiencing.
I have a few follow-up questions to assist in troubleshooting:
- Can you specify what issue you are experiencing? For example, are your text boxes running off the page, or something else?
- Are you working on your local C: drive when these issues occur?
- You mention both copy/paste and importing slides, so can you clarify the process that causes an issue, or is it both?
- Can you share your .story file publicly or privately here to see how it's behaving?
I look forward to hearing from you, Noah!

Andrea, thanks for reaching out. I'm unable to share the client's file, but from what I recall, it was doing it on some slides and not others. Every time I would open the file, BOOM, the text boxes on the slide (these are text boxes set in the master slide) would magically be reformatted to where they were extended off of the slide.
Again, I was thinking maybe this was due to the PPT slides we imported. I think when you import PPT slides, they create their own master slides. So, maybe the text boxes on these are getting messed up.
But the problem is even after reformatting and saving, you can come back to the file later on, and they've done it again!- LaurenDuvall4 years agoStaff
Hello Noah!
I can see how frustrating this must be, so I appreciate you including more details! Do those text boxes match any of the formatting on the Master Slide? If so, is it possible for you to apply a different layout to those slides to reformat the text boxes?
If you can share a screen recording of the steps you've taken, I'd be happy to see if I can recreate the issue on my end.
