Storyline SCORM - Cover page not showing in LMS (Brightspace)
Hi,
When I add the course SCORM to the LMS (D2Learn Brightspace), the module opens from the first slide, instead of showing the cover photo. We want the learners to see the cover page first. Looking for suggestions how to fix this.
Thanks.
Stef

silly question did you switch the cover page off in the publish dialogue

Do you mean in the ‘Player Properties’, PhilMayor ? I don't think it's possible to switch off the cover photo when you ‘publish’. Is it?
Stef seems a bit confused by the fact that this basic feature isn't working. No need to confuse her further.
StefaniadaVoich, have you tried publishing and checking on ScormCloud? That would give you a clue as to whether the problem lies with the file or the destination LMS.
And if you could share your file with just one slide and your settings, we could test it (and verify Phil’s assumption by looking in ‘the right place’).
NB: please ignore the ‘Approved’ label. It appears to be a platform bug and doesn’t mean that I’ve self-approved it or that anyone else has done so yet. ?????? but actually, you might not even notice it - only I can.

I didn't.

It's not displaying in the ScormCloud either. I attached one slide here for review. Thanks.

Hello StefaniadaVoich
It's so obvious that I almost missed it 😄. Good news: your file doesn't have any bugs.
The black screen with the Play button (which you made less black by adding your cover photo) ONLY APPEARS IF THERE IS AUDIO ON THE FIRST SCREEN. This is an accessibility rule to prevent the learner from being bombarded with audio (music, voiceover) BEFORE they’ve clicked anything.
In your file: there is no audio on the first screen, so there is no previous screen with a cover photo.
All you need to do is upload a audio clip (any short clip) in silent mode on the first screen. It will be detected, and the screen with the cover photo will automatically be displayed first.
Let me know if that’s clear enough. Have a good day.
