Storyline: submit text entry field answer to external database?

Hello,

I currently have a number of storyline blocks embedded in my rise 360 course - simply to have a free text entry space for reflective questions - which can be printed to a pdf for learners to take back to their educators for synchronous discussions. 

However, I am wanting to know how I can program a button in storyline for the learner to also send their response to some sort of database? 

I want to be able to review responses to particular questions embedded in my training to conduct a qualitative analysis. 

So two questions,

1. How do you do this, and

2. What sort of 'database' can be used?

(our courses are not currently hosted in an LMS)
