Storyline Tracking and Reporting through LMS
I am creating a course with a test-out option and 2 quiz attempts. is there a way I can prevent the course from reloading to allow more attempts in the LMS?
I feel like it should be something with the Tracking set-up, but I've tried several options, and am stuck.
Thanks.

Start with the configuration of Storyline:
So right now, you have both the three items and the "action" trigger boxes checked. But the only thing that gets reported is the first item:
You also have both quizzes (3.6 and 4.6) flagged as "final assessment." The pre-check is fine, but you should decide which of 3.6 and 4.6 is "the final" assessment, and make the other one a knowledge check.
But you are asking about "preventing the course from reloading." That description sounds like the LMS is forcing the learner to restart the course - which would be unusual, I think. I would start by cleaning up the Tracking options here and then see what happens.

Hi,
We went through a similar situation, and our solution was to create a variable that tracks the number of attempts. If the learner passes on the first attempt, a "Passed" layer is displayed with a Submit Results trigger set to "Passed."
If the variable reaches the second attempt, a "Failed 2nd attempt" layer is shown instead, and the Submit Results trigger sends the status as "Failed" to the LMS. using the conditional "if quiz attemps > value 1"
Additionally, this slide has no navigation buttons and is configured to always show the "Failed" (if 2 failed attempts) layer upon resuming the course. This ensures that if the learner fails, they are always brought back to this specific slide when reopening the course.
However, this behavior is dependent on our LMS settings. Our LMS provides two options when re-entering the course: Resume or Restart.
If the learner selects Resume, the "Failed" layer is always shown.
If they select Restart, they must go through the course again and receive two new attempts.
So essentially, the learner only has two attempts unless they choose to restart the course. But again, this is something managed by the LMS, the only setting we could play with it, it was to not allow the learner to self enroll, once results where submitted, we couldn't find a way to enforce this behavior directly within Articulate Storyline.
