Storyline: Transfer of source file
Hi,
I will be receiving the source file (.story) from one of our vendors to sell us the property of a course. the goal is to keep it inhouse and be able to modify it as needed.

As Ron said, the .story file is the main source. If you have an active subscription to Storyline, you should be able to open that file. As per Articulate guidelines, the file should be on your local drive when you work on it. However, it's a good idea to back it up elsewhere.
You could also ask the vendor to give you any graphics and media files used in the course, if you think they might need to be edited.
