Storyline's Media Library not showing refresh icon to reimport updated images.

Previously, I've used the Media Library feature to reimport images throughout my course in the event I've had to make alterations to the image in some way.

As of today, a course I went back into to use the refresh icon/reimport function within Media Library does not seem to be working.

The images have not moved/changed locations and are in the same folders they were originally imported from.

The images also do not show the updated modified date within the Modified column within Media Library.

To troubleshoot I have:

  • Confirmed the files have not moved locations since the initial import into Storyline.
  • I have since updated and am on the latest update of Storyline. (issue was present before the update)
  • I've also restarted my PC and went back in.
  • Verified the modified dates on the actual images within Windows Explorer.
    • Attempted to remodify the images again just for kicks.

Despite all this, the Media Library still shows the original Modified date/time when it was first imported... It is almost as if there is a registry disconnect between Storyline and the system (if that is a thing.) with regards to the modified date on the images.

Any help on this is appreciated - this was a very useful function that allowed me to save time and for it now to be broken I'm not looking forward to having to 'scrub' my course to see which images need to be updated.

Please see attachment as due to the nature of my course I am unable to publish it for external review.

*Edit* I've also updated to Windows 11 within the last few weeks... I'm fairly confident that this feature still worked despite the OS change, however, that could play a role in this.
