Suddenly Corrupted SL Project Files
Hi RussStill,
I'm sorry to hear you've hit this roadblock!
Here are a few things to double-check:
- You're working on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
- Ensure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example, C:\Articulate).
- Avoid using special characters, accents, or symbols in your file names.
If the issue persists across multiple projects, I recommend trying a Storyline repair. Please let us know if you still need assistance!

The storyline executables reside on my C-drive, but all of my project files live out on one of our servers. This is a corporate project and not possible to keep everything on my on C-drive.
I have over 130G of Articulate "temp" files that ARE on my C-drive. That's not a sustainable situation. Can I safely delete these files? They are under user/.../appdata/roaming/articulate
If I can't delete them, can I move them to another network location? Actually, yes, of course I can move them. The question is how do I tell SL to look for them at the new location?
