Is it possible to create a question response or survey that feeds bak into the LMS in RISE

I need a super simple survey question. It will serve as a self-reflection tool throughout the course that doesn't need to feedback to the LMS. Would be nice if there was a block with a 5 and 10 point scale. The knowledge check block can only do correct/incorrect responses and it's vertical, not horizontal. It looks like I'll have to build it in Storyline, but I'd prefer something that took up far less real estate on the screen.
Hi Paul! Have you tried creating a Storyline slide with custom dimensions? It sounds like you need a slide with a short height. Adjusting the slide dimensions would allow you to remove the extra white space that you don't need.

I found the minimum height was 100px plus padding for the storyline block, but the result is still really good. Learners click a button to reveal a likert or yes/no question. No data collection or response needed. It sits really well after a self reflection exercise.
Nice work, Paul! Thanks for coming back to let me know how you resolved it!

I created a work-around for self-assessments that only need situational feedback and not cumulative data. I used the Button Stack to create a "choose-your own adventure" for the learner that takes them to novice, intermediate, or expert remedial statements. The statements are sections within the course, so take note: Some sections will be skipped by the learner. You'll need to review your course to know how much of the course gets completed, then lower your export settings to this same completion percentage to ensure people get marked as completed.
Hi Micah! That sounds really cool! Any chance you would be able to share a sample of this course with us for inspiration?

I'd like to use Rise to build a form for a SME to use while evaluating the performance of a learner in a simulation environment. But am I correct in my understanding that there's no way to pass freeform text in an Articulate block "Survey slide" (or any other interaction data) to the SCORM output? At least it's not passing any data from a block in a test course, only the responses to Quiz sections.
Alternatively, is there any way to disable the score from showing at the end of a Quiz segment? I can potentially meet our needs by using freeform text quiz questions with no feedback.
Hi Thomas! You're correct — right now, there isn't a way to collect freeform responses in a quiz, nor turn off the quiz passing score.
It sounds like survey-style questions would be helpful for your team. In the meantime, I would suggest embedding a survey from a third-party tool (like Google Forms or SurveyMonkey) using a multimedia embed block.
Yes we are! Thanks for letting us know you need this feature, Jon.

I totally agree. The Knowledge check needs to allow for a survey type, similar to what Captivate does. There are some questions that are reflective and have no real answer. But providing feedback to whatever their answers are is valuable.

Yes, add me to the list of requesters. Currently embedding a Google Form, but it would be helpful to have this native as both a reflective question and a course survey.
